Managing Trustee, Gandhi King Foundation and Affiliated Scholar of the Martin Luther King Jr. Research and Educational Institute at Stanford University USA. Prof.Prasad organized several Sarvodaya Programmes throughout Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States as the General Secretary for Andhra Pradesh Sarvodaya Mandal. He was instrumental in organizing Gandhi King Conference at Stanford University 2019, Organized a Workshop in Nobel Peace Summit, Mexico 2019 Key-note speaker on 7th June in Pietermaritzburg in South Africa 2019 and sent a delegation of 8 youth to South Africa.

He combines academic experience, development work background and effectively uses both for propagating Gandhian values in society.  He was a founder of Vasavya Society for Rural Development which rendered yeomen service to rural areas for over three decades. He received many awards including John Dalvi Award for ‘Outstanding Social Work in 1986 in Mumbai from the Leslie Sawhny Program in the presence of JRD TATA, MinooMasani, N. A. Palkhiwala, Dr. M.S. Gore and many other prominent citizens.
