| Secretary, West Bengal Gandhi Peace Foundation and President, Sarva Seva Sangh (All India Sarvodaya Mandal) joined Gandhian Movement in the year 1964 after his school life. At that time he got the opportunity to hear Gandhian stalwarts like Acharya Vinoba Bhave, Sri Dhiren Majumdar, Dada Dharmadhikari, Sri Jayaprakash Narayan, Sri Siddharaj Dhadda, Sri Narayan Desai and others. He joined Tarun Shanti Sena, Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Vahini. He participated Bhoodan-Gramdan Movement by Acharya Vinoba Bhave and later joined Total Revolution Movement led by Lokanayak Jayaprakash Narayan.
His main areas of interests are: peace and communal harmony, work among the student and youth, promotion of organic farming and rain water conservation. He developed a model of water conservation called “Talao Se Banao” which helps a family to be self reliant. He Wrote many books such as Exploring Gandhian Peace Initiative, Sibir Sanchalan Paddhati etc. |
He got many awards such as “Jamnabehn Loksevak Award-2014”, “Pranati Ghosh & Suresh-Sisir Smarak Samatat Samajseva Puraskar”, “BTM Matribhoomi Award-2015” “Mother India Award” “Rising Star of Asia Award” “DESHASNEHI” etc.
