Development Professional, completed his Master’s in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.   He has over 35 years of experience in the development sector.   He  served as Coordinator at Gandhi Peace Center till 1994.  He was a member of the core team spearheading the anti liquor movement and anti blue revolution (Shrimp farming) movement in Andhra Pradesh during early 90’s.

In the last two decades he led different studies being conducted on the situation of trafficking and the impact of occupational migration among fisher folk in Andhra Pradesh. He is active in evaluation of watershed projects.  His key strength has been networking of NGOs spread over different districts and states to work together on several issues including Child Trafficking and HIV/AIDS, Disaster Management, Natural Resource Management, Migration, Drought, Reliefs, Biodiversity, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation etc.

He has authored several books i.e., A study on Status on Environment in Andhra Pradesh, 1990, A Study on Occupational Migration among fisher folk vis-à-vis status of women and children in coastal district 1999, A study on commercial sex workers and their children in coastal Andhra Pradesh, 2002.  His key area of interest includes program Strategisation, monitoring and learning, environmental research and Advocacy and Lobbying.
